What is endodontics ?

Endodontics, also known as root canal treatment, is the treatment of inflammation and infection inside the tooth. The goal of this treatment is to preserve the affected tooth.

Some treatments must be performed with the help of dental microscopic equipment. Our practice is equipped with this type of technology.

About the treatment

During treatment, the diseased pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected with antiseptic solutions.

The canal is then filled and sealed with a material made out of natural latex, which is obtained from the leaves of several species of trees. It is called "gutta percha".

Finally, the upper part of the tooth must be repared with a white filling or a porcelain crown.
