What is periodontology ?
Periodontitis or gum disease is an inflammation of the tissues surrounding and supporting the teeth.
That is to say, the gums and further still , the bone. It is caused by specific bacteria that creates plaque and then tartar.
In the long term, it is a cause for tooth decay.
Prevention is the key to gum’s health
To avoid periodontitis, dentists recommend that you get your teeth scaled at least once a year.
Periodontitis is usually painless, provoques loosening and later leads towards tooth loss.
